Belay Device Workshop: Master the ATC!
Overview
The ATC is an indispensable and versatile belay device for rope climbing. This workshop helps you understand the excellence of the ATC and how to fully utilize its functions.
The ATC can be used not only for lead belaying but also for belaying a second climber, rappelling, and even as an ascender for ascending. It's a versatile multi-device with 4 functions in 1, yet its structure and operating principles are simple. We want to share the wonderful features of the ATC with you.
Beyond learning convenient ways to use the ATC, you'll understand the principles of belaying and learn proper techniques for safe use. We'll also cover the use of assisted-braking belay devices with high safety features, such as Mammut's Smart, Edelrid's Mega Jul, and Petzl's GriGri.
