Dry Tooling

At Beta, climbers who meet certain conditions can use ice axes and ice tools. For ice climbers who have been struggling to find practice space, please use Beta as your training ground. Of course, enjoying sessions with fellow ice climbing friends is also great!

Usage conditions and routes differ between ice axes and ice tools. Each is summarized in separate sections below, so please read carefully before use. Note that even if you meet the usage conditions, we may restrict use during crowded times or if staff deem it dangerous. Please always follow staff instructions. These conditions are current as of April 1, 2019 and are subject to change.
