BETA Climbing Gym | Outdoor Multi-Pitch Climbing Workshop

Outdoor Multi-Pitch Climbing Workshop

We hold monthly beginner workshops for multi-pitch climbing in outdoor fields. This workshop focuses on practicing and confirming multi-pitch climbing systems.

Since the workshop doesn't focus primarily on climbing technique, we try to conduct it on routes that aren't too difficult.

Under staff safety management, participants form parties and climb in alternating leads. (Depending on the number of participants, you may pair with staff.)

Fixed ropes can also be used. Staff may require fixed ropes and ascenders at their discretion.

  • Practiced indoors sufficiently, want to get a feel for outdoor climbing
  • Want to practice for outdoor multi-pitch debut
  • Want to confirm systems with a new partner
  • Haven't climbed in a while, want to regain outdoor multi-pitch sensation
  • Want to do multi-pitch regularly to stay sharp

If you want to climb outdoor multi-pitch routes, please join us. We accept schedule requests, so please let us know if you have any preferences.

Before Participating

Please ensure you can perform multi-pitch climbing systems and rope work to some extent on your own. If participating as a pair, please confirm systems with your partner beforehand. You can practice on BETA 3F.

If you're unsure, please attend Introduction to Multi-Pitch Climbing held on BETA 3F.
