First climb of 2025 – Yugawara Makuiwa

1/4 We held the first lead climbing practice session of the year at Yugawara Makuiwa.

Snow fell during the session, forcing us to stop and move to another area, but there were also times when the sun came out.
It was a fulfilling day, with practice on faces and cracks, top rope as well as lead, and belaying with the Edelrid belay device, PINCH.
As a result, we ended up retrieving the climb with headlamps. And by that time the snow had returned.

Let’s enjoy climbing to the fullest this year as well.
We will do our best to help you improve your level, try, and have fun.

2023/5/27 [Outdoor crag] Crack practice meeting held at Ogawayama

2023/5/27 Outdoor crack practice meeting was held at Ogawayama.

Since an event was being held at Mawarimedaira, the parking lot was full at around 9:30 and the aisles were full of cars.

As for the crag area… I think it was empty except for the rocks used for the event.
Initially, we headed for Aniiwa, but due to an event being held, we changed our destination to Thumbiwa.
1st party only. . No one came after that.

I thoroughly enjoyed “Ogawayama Layback”, which looks good and has good contents.
There are various ways to climb, such as jamming with a solid crack, or picking up the face with your feet. .
It’s fun with each one.

Did you climb about 3 per person?
Everyone was facing their own challenges, such as camset practice and pseudo leads.

After that, we moved to the last one and had a lot of fun with alpine-chic challenges.

It was a good day to enjoy crack to the fullest.

[Outdoor crag] Crack & Face Practice Meeting 2023.2.23 (Thursday/holiday)

2023.2.23 outdoor crack lead practice meeting was held.

The first crack practice meeting in a long time was held with the support of Mr. J Nakamura of Bunanokai.

Even though the face climbed well, it was hard to find a jam on the crack.
While there are many people who struggle, there are also people who are good at cracking.

A boy who is studying in the United States also participates.
Originally he didn’t have much climbing experience, but due to his strong desire, he first practiced on the top rope at the gym and participated in the event.
Despite suffering from jet lag, he completed one climb.
I want you to continue in America, and I want you to participate again when you return to Japan!

After all, it does not end only with cracks, but also the face.
Session with “Flashy” which was homework.
I’m sure you’re tired of cracking, but some people RP.
And this time I went down the mountain with a headlight.

It was a nice day of climbing.
