There are three benefits to joining JFA, but regardless of whether you receive the benefits or not, we would like all rock climbers to join.

JFA’s activities include replacing aging bolts on rocks on routes, negotiating with landowners of rocks where access issues have arisen, sharing information about rocks from all over the country, and holding seminars on safety management techniques for rocks.
In other words, we are indebted to all climbers who climb rocks, regardless of whether they are boulder or lead. JFA’s activity costs are covered by membership fees, so we would like you to join in order to support JFA’s activities.

1) You will receive the newsletter “freefan” twice a year, in spring and autumn.
It is packed with information on rock faces all over Japan, interviews with climbers, and climbing gear tests.
It is also available on the bookshelf on the first floor of Beta, so please take a look.

2) By showing your membership card, you can receive discounts at shops, gyms, and lodgings nationwide.

Membership Fee

For group membership, the fee varies depending on the number of people. The more people, the cheaper it is.
The amount depends on the number of people who apply, but it is usually 2,200 yen.

For reference, the individual membership fee is 3,300 yen (tax included).
Those who are already individual members can convert to group membership. If you convert, the difference in the membership fee will be refunded.
