We hold climbing practice sessions using ropes in an outdoor field. Lead climbing, multi-pitch climbing, crack climbing.
Lead climbing has 3 courses: [Super Beginner Practice Session], [Practice Session], and [Weekday Climbing Club].
For those who are about to start climbing, or those who have just started climbing, such as those who want to step up from walking mountain climbing to variations on rocky ridges, and those who want to practice leading and mastering routes that are not difficult, [Lead Climbing Super Beginner Practice] [Meeting] is recommended. You can also practice rappelling at the lead climbing super beginner practice session.
All necessary gear (shoes, helmet, harness, chalk) can be rented (550 yen per item).
If you have experience climbing at a bouldering gym or lead gym, but are new to outside lead climbing, we recommend the [Lead Climbing Practice Session].
Also, for those who want to climb on weekdays, we recommend the [Weekday Climbing Club]. The destination and content will be decided in consultation with the participants.

At the multi-pitch practice session, participants climb together in groups under the safety supervision of staff. In fact, there is no help from the staff, and participants must climb on their own.

If you are a rocky area that cannot be accessed by public transportation and do not have a car or other means of access, you can ride in a staff member’s car (transportation fee: 8,000 yen). The meeting time varies depending on the rocky area, but we will generally meet at 6 o’clock at the underground rotary at the west exit of Shinjuku Station.

If you are heading to the location by car, arrange a rental car and split the cost between participants.

Lead climbing practice session for beginners: Climbing/bouldering for absolute beginners and those with no experience. Shoes, helmets, and chalk can also be rented.
Lead climbing practice session: For those with climbing/bouldering experience and beginners to outside rock lead climbing.
Weekday Climbing Club: No climbing or bouldering experience required. Anyone who wants to climb on weekdays.
Crack climbing practice session: For experienced climbers and boulder links, beginners and inexperienced climbers.
Multi-pitch climbing practice session: Multi-beginner. Those who understand the system and can lead and follow during practice.

Lead climbing beginner practice session: We will give a lecture on manners and etiquette at rocky areas, and climb routes from 5.7 to 5.10 using the top rope. Depending on your skill level, you will also practice leading and belaying.
Lead climbing practice session: Climb 5.11 routes using the basic top rope. Depending on your skill level, you will also practice leading and belaying.
Weekday Climbing Club: We will consult with the participants and consider the destination and content.
Crack climbing practice session: ~5. Climb 10 routes using the basic top rope. Depending on your skill, we will also practice setting protection and leading.
Multi-pitch climbing practice session: Under the safety supervision of staff, participants will climb 4 pitches and descend using pull-ups.

Yugawara, Makiwa
It is a rocky place in Makuyama Park in Yugawara. It is a rocky area that is sunny and warm in winter. Access is also good. From JR Yugawara Station, take a bus bound for Makuyama Park, get off at the last stop, and walk for about 10 minutes.
The area is divided into multiple areas, and there are plenty of grade challenges that are easy for beginners to climb. In a vacant area, you will climb 9 or 10 challenges.
“Makuiwa Yugawara Sunset (5.10a)”
Akikawa Tennoiwa
It is a very accessible rocky place. About 15 minutes from Musashi Itsukaichi Station to the nearest bus stop (Sorigobashi). 3 minutes walk from the bus stop.
The rocky area is divided into two areas, the lower rocky area and the upper rocky area. The lower rocky area has many gentle challenges, and the upper rocky area has a boulder-like route. A popular route for beginners is “Crack Joy (5.9)” on the upper rocky area. In addition, the route “Tennoiwa/Nirvana no Kaze (5.10b)” that I often climb at practice sessions “Tennoiwa Mirage (5.10b/c)” “Tennoiwa Souvenir of the Underworld (5.10d)”
If you come by car, please use the Jurigi Parking Lot (free). Take the 8:33 bus bound for Kamiyozawa from the nearby Jurigi bus stop. You can join the participants who boarded from Musashi-Itsukaichi Station.
*Please note that the Akikawa International Trout Fishing Area parking lot cannot currently be used for climbing purposes.
Makuiwa, Kofu
A few minutes walk from the parking space, it is a rocky place with good access. The rocky area is relatively compact, and there are plenty of 10 routes with bones, so even beginners can enjoy it.
Recently, development is being carried out in the back of the current area, and it is scheduled to open to the public from around next year.

Okuchichibu and Ogawayama
The areas are scattered over a wide area, and the number of assignments is the largest in Japan. It is also called Yosemite of Japan. The approach is to each area on foot from the parking lot of the Mawarimedaira campsite. Depending on the area, it may take several tens of minutes to an hour.
Open fires are allowed at the campsite. After climbing, some climbers pick up firewood on the way down the mountain and enjoy bonfires and camping. Many climbers spend their weekends at Mt. Ogawa during the season.

Kabuto iwa
A compact rocky area that is warm in winter. Face, crack, slab, etc. are compact, but there are many variations of problems. In addition, there are plenty of challenges that beginners can enjoy.
From the parking lot at the trailhead, climb the trail for about 30 minutes.

Hinatawada colonel rock
It is a very accessible rocky place. About 5 minutes on foot from Hinatawada station. There are 7 routes in a compact rocky area. Only introductory routes of limestone.

Ohito and Shiroyama
The area is divided into multiple areas, there are many routes, and there are many variations of challenges such as slabs, hangs, and faces. There are also multiple routes. A warm rocky place in winter. There are plenty of challenges that beginners can enjoy.

Numazu/Mt. Washizu
It is a historic rocky area that has been climbed by locals for a long time, and in 1983, four of the climbs, Maze, ET Hang, Cosmic Dancer, and Jet, were made free, and the grade was announced on Decimal, which was unusual at the time, so it suddenly became mainstream.
The jet climbed by Isao Ikeda was the first 5.12 in Japan at the time.
It’s about a 30 minute walk from the parking lot by the sea, and it’s sunny and warm. This is a popular rocky area in winter.
At the super beginner practice session, we will practice using the 5.6, 5.7, and 5.9 routes of the “Third Grade Rocks” and the 5.9 route of the “Main Wall.”
For those aiming for a more difficult route, “Mt. Washizu/Sunfish (5.10a) a>” “Washizuyama Maze (5.10d)” Masu.
You can also practice rappelling, climbing back up, and training with crampons at the “Third Grade Rocks”, so please let us know if you have any requests.
I will go by public transportation. Board the bus leaving Numazu Station at 8:15. It takes about 20 minutes by bus to reach the rocky area.
