The trajectory of Haruko Takeuchi, who we introduced last month, and her overall victory at the Continental Open, has been summarized in an article. Please take a look. Let’s support her again next year!
Ice Climbing Continental Open – Haruko Takeuchi Wins Overall Championship
Now, let’s enjoy dry touring as a “fun muscle training” for next season’s ice!
Dry touring is climbing rock walls and artificial walls using ice axes and crampons.
In Europe and the United States, it is enjoyed by many people as a genre of climbing.
In Japan, there are many climbers who enjoy it as a competition or use it as training for ice climbing or alpine climbing.
This course is for those who want to start dry touring, or those who have experienced it a few times but want to learn the basics properly.
You will climb using axes, but if you don’t have your own axes, we will rent them, so don’t worry.
Also, those who have taken this course can rent axes for free at any time in the future!
Those who are using Beta’s dry wall for the first time should also take this course.
The instructor, Mepanna of Ginrei-kai, is not only into dry tooling, but also into a wide range of rock, ice, alpine, and other climbing, so please feel free to ask him anything!
You can take the introductory class as many times as you like, but once you graduate, you can practice on your own, or if you want to practice with everyone, you can use the “Dry Tooling Practice Session” if you want to hone your techniques and step up, “Dry Tooling Dojo” if you want to do so.
Held on Wednesday, May 7th!
