We hold rope climbing practice sessions in outdoor fields. Lead climbing, multi-pitch climbing, crack climbing.
【Lead climbing practice session for beginners】
We climb on top rope or lead on rocky areas with easy routes.
Recommended for those who are just starting out, who want to step up from walking to variations on rocky ridges, and those who want to practice lead or master on easy routes.
All necessary gear (shoes, helmets, harnesses, chalk) can be rented (550 yen per item).
We will hold the session at Mt. Washizu, Mt. Ogawa, etc.
【Introduction to cracks】
This is a practice session for beginners to cracks. We climb cracks on top rope. We will give a lecture on how to decide jams and how to set up protection.
Depending on your skill level, you can set up protection (cams) while climbing or climb on lead.
For a better understanding of jamming and protection installation, please take the indoor course “Introduction to Cracks” beforehand.
This will be held at Yugawara Makuiwa, Ogawayama, etc.
【Multi-Pitch Introduction】
Participants will form a party and climb 4 pitches of a gentle route. Fixed ropes will be set up, and an environment will be prepared where you can climb while ensuring your safety if necessary. There will be staff at the end of the pitch to confirm how to set anchors and belay.
You will climb under the safety management of staff, but since you will be climbing on your own, please check the ropework in advance. If you are unsure, please take the indoor course “Multi-Pitch Beginner Course”.
This will be held at Yugawara Makuiwa, Goku Slab, etc.
【Lead Climbing Practice Session】
This is a practice session for experienced lead climbers. We will climb problems ranging from 5.8 to 5.11a using top rope. Depending on your skill level, you can also climb on lead. If you would like to practice belaying, a staff member will belay you.
We recommend that you gain experience in leading and belaying indoors before practicing outdoors. Beta also offers an indoor course, “Lead Climbing Beginners Course,” so please make use of it.

⇒“Multi-pitch climbing practice session”
If you want to climb a outdoor crag with a rope, please join us.
I would like people who mainly do mountain climbing to participate, such as variations. Being able to climb not only increases the number of routes you can take, but also makes you safer.
We accept schedule requests, so please let us know if you have any requests.
Before participating, please familiarize yourself with the basics of how to tie ropes and the lead climbing system.
If you don’t know, please take a look at the ★lead climbing beginners course. *Not required.
At the multi-pitch practice session, participants climb together in groups under the safety supervision of staff. In fact, there is no help from the staff, and participants must climb on their own.
