Every month, we hold lead climbing beginner practice sessions in outdoor fields.
This is a practice session for beginners who want to climb rocky areas with ropes, not only for those who are bouldering and lead at the gym, but also for climbers who have never done climbing so much.

We also have multi-pitch practice sessions. Under the safety management of the staff, participants will team up with each other and climb with a crane. In fact, there is no help from the staff, and participants will climb on their own.

In the case of crag areas that can be accessed by public transportation, if anyone wants to continue climbing after the dismissal time, the staff will belay until sunset.
If you are in a crag area that is inaccessible by public transportation and do not have access by car, it is possible to ride in the staff’s car (cost per head / about 8000 yen).
【Requirements】
※Beta membership registration is required. Please register as a member in advance and participate.
※Participation must be over 20 years old.
※Before applying, please agree to the Beta Climbing Gym Outdoor Event Participation Terms.
The staff hangs the top rope, and the participants climb with the top rope.
If there is a route you want to climb, we will hang the top rope upon request.
Based on past performance, 4 to 6 routes (.9/ 5.10 grades) are roped and we have them try 4 to 8 times a day.
If you wish to practice lead, practice on a pseudo-lead combined with a top rope.
If you want a lead that is not a pseudo-lead, you must be able to climb the target route with a pseudo-lead without any problems, or be able to climb all 5 grades of beta (or 4th grade 3 tasks / 3rd grade 1 task).
Belay practice is limited to the timing when the staff hangs the top rope and the timing of recovery, and when another staff can back up the belay.
※Please be prepared to wear a harness and tie an eight knot (a figure-of-eight knot) in advance.

Cancellations are accepted at any time, but a cancellation fee (100% of the course fee) will be charged if canceled on the day before or on the day.
Participation fees can be paid at beta climbing gym (cash, credit, PayPay, d payment, Merpay, auPay, transportation electronic money, ID, QUICpay) or cash on the day.
※If thIf you are not a beta member, you need to register as a member. Please come to the beta climbing gym and register as a member by the day, or complete the pre-registration. If you have pre-registered, please email us your pre-registration number.If the event is canceled due to rain, the participation fee will be refunded.
※Even if the minimum number of participants is not reached, we will still hold the event if you request a small number of participants and pay a larger participation fee.

※The crag areas in winter, spring and autumn can get quite cold. Be sure to bring warm clothes such as fleece and down jackets.
Please prepare toilet paper and plastic bags for collecting used paper.

Please fully understand that climbing always involves danger and participate at your own risk. Unexpected things like chipping of rocks can also happen, especially in natural rocky areas. Yugawara・Makuiwa
It is a crag in Makuyama Park in Yugawara. It is a crag area that is sunny and warm in winter. Access is also good. From JR Yugawara Station, take a bus bound for Makuyama Park, get off at the last stop, and walk for about 10 minutes.
The area is divided into multiple areas, and there are plenty of grade challenges that are easy for beginners to climb. In a vacant area, you will climb 5.9 ~ 5.10 grade challenges.

Kofu・Kabutoiwa
A compact crag area that is warm in winter. Face, crack, slab, etc. are compact, but there are many variations of problems. In addition,
there are plenty of challenges that beginners can enjoy.
From the parking lot at the trailhead, climb the trail for about 30 minutes.
If there is no access means such as a car, ride in a staff car. 6:00 Meet at JR Shinjuku Station West Exit Rotary (basement).
If you can’t come to Shinjuku station at 6 o’clock, you can stay overnight at Beta. There are also many capsule hotels near Shinjuku Station where you can stay at reasonable prices, so please search for them.
You can also pick up at JR Isawa Onsen Station around 8:00. We will consider gatherings flexibly, so please contact us.
Hinatawada・KernelRock
It is a very accessible crag. About 5 minutes on foot from Hinatawada station. There are 7 routes in a compact rocky area. Only introductory routes of limestone.
Topo and precautions are posted on the Okutama Climbing Center website, so please take a look.

Ohito・Jo-yama
The area is divided into multiple areas, there are many routes, and there are many variations of challenges such as slabs, hangs, and faces. There are also multi-pitch routes. A warm crag area in winter. There are plenty of challenges that beginners can enjoy.
You can walk to the area from the parking lot. The approach time varies depending on the area, but it takes about 10 to 30 minutes.

Numazu・Washizuyama
A historic crag that has been climbed for a long time in the local area.、 In 1983, “Maze”, “ET Hang”, “Cosmic Dancer” and “Jet” were climbed by free climbing. Unusually at that time, the grade was announced in decimals, so it suddenly became a major area.
The jet climbed by Isao Ikeda was Japan’s first 5.12 at the time.
It is sunny and warm with an approach of about 30 minutes on foot from the seaside parking lot. It is a popular erea in winter.
